Golden Aire Heating & Air Conditioning

I recently had my HVAC system replaced. John, the owner of GoldenAire, did a great job. He is a local family owned business, he has better prices than Costco providers or the other major local companies, he has longer warranties on his labor (all companies offer 10 years on parts) and he doesn’t make you sign up for the annual membership crap they sell. I’m happy I went with him.

After Clarke & Rush (the company that installed my system and serviced it for the last 17 years) incorrectly diagnosed my furnace problem as a bad gas valve (costing me $1,000!) my furnace was STILL not working correctly and kept shutting off due to a system error. They sent a second tech out and diagnosed that it was the logic board in the system (another $1500 bucks!). BUT.....but....they would credit the $1,000 I already spent (which did NOT fix the problem) to a NEW heating and air system. Um....ya, we have not budgeted an extra 20 grand this year for a system replacement. FORTUNATELY, a longtime friend recommended Golden Aire! Removed and replaced my 33 year old heating and AC units in one day. Replaced 2 ducts/vents, new intake duct while they were at it. On time, professional, courteous team made the process worthwhile. Great value, and they use good equipment, with standard warranty options. Best of all, their estimate/bid process is plain language and easy to understand. Highly recommend them.

Know enough about AC unit as to what needed to be done just didn’t have the tools to fix myself. Told them when the unit part inside is used then turns off, frost is melting and creating a puddle inside as pipe to outside needed a good flush and was clogged creating puddle inside. he changed a valve outside charge me $300 and said “that should do the trick” well guess what it didn’t. I still have a puddle inside and looking for another company to help fix it. Will not be using this company again
