Grand Junction Sport Fencing

The teachers are very professional and know what they are about. The classes are fun and engaging to be in and to watch. I really enjoy participating in the group classes as well as individual instruction. It is a very safe environment, in fact less injuries happen here than other kids sports because of the nature of the sport and the protective gear. I love the environment as it is a positive and supportive one where everyone is valued and esteemed equally. I really recommend taking the classes and signing up your kids if you have them as well. Another thing is that if your child loves more intellectual games, they will likely love fencing even more.

I started fencing here last year and it has been a lot of fun. The coaches are very knowledgeable and supportive, but also challenge you to go further. I've even started going to competitions and have steadily improved. If you find yourself quoting The Princess Bride often then you should come on down!

We homeschool and my children started lessons back in September of 2016 with a small group of homeschool students. We promoted it to the homeschool community and now have around 20 homeschool students taking lessons (Spring of 2017). Cori is an excellent teacher and though we have students who range in age from 8 years old to Adult in our class it works well. As a homeschool mom, I started taking lessons in March of 2017 realizing how valuable it would be for me to be able to coach my children at tournaments. I am so glad that I started taking lessons, I really enjoy it and it is something I can do with my children. The Wall's make it fun and low pressure. The kids have had great fun at the tournaments. I highly recommend fencing with Grand Junction Sport Fencing.

I work with a scouting group and we have had Aaron and Cori both come out and instruct Fencing, Kendo, and Aikido to the scouts. The boys loved it and I found them very knowledgeable and professional. If you like the art of fencing you can't go wrong with them. They live it, eat it, sleep it, and drink it - and if you hang out with them you will too.

Excellent instructors and lots of fun for all ages. Speaking as a 63 year old I can confirm it is a sport that can be enjoyed well into maturity. It's like being a kid again having sword fights and keeping score. You're never too old for this kind of fun!
