Great American Landscapes

We used Great American Landscapes to build a very expensive patio in our backyard. The team did not center the sitting wall when building and when they realized their mistake, tried to charge us extra to make it longer so that it was centered. They also installed drains that are uneven and do not drain properly, leaving standing water after every rainfall. When contacted to remedy the situation, since it was beyond a year after they did the work (we tried our best to manage the situation with cleaning after rainfalls, etc), they wanted to charge us even more money to fix their mistake. Do not recommend.

This review is long overdue. We started our landscaping project 3/27/23 and not be any happier with the end results. It is now July and I can give a fair and honest review of the work and how it has held up for at least the last 4 months. We had a retaining wall placed at the end our driveway. The rain kept coming down the driveway and running over our small concrete ledge and spilling into our inground pool. We decided to have an 18 in wall built that was tall enough to be a seat for basketball viewers in our driveway. It has been perfect and the rain drains directly into the drain! In addition to that, we had new fencing placed around our pool, new steps with landscape bush edges, rocks with ground underneath to absorb rain to extend our pool area, concrete deck for our new Amish shed

Scott Saylor and his team are top-notch. I brought a design to them for bid. Scott worked with me to scope the project to meet my budget and needs, adapting as plans changed. They weren't the cheapest and they weren't the most expensive. It was a 6-figure project that included re-grading part of the lawn, replacing the parking pad, putting in a new patio, installing new sod, and planting new trees/bushes/plants. I liked that the crew was on site from day one until the project was finished (no jumping between projects day-to-day). The crew was on-time, professional, and collaborative. I'm delighted with how my project turned out and confident Great American Landscapes was the right choice. Zero hesitation in recommending them.
