Great Day Improvements

I hired Great Day Improvement to change my screened in porch to a enclosed patio.The company is out of the Charlotte NC and they service the Columbia SC area. The company uses workers who can't communicate with their customers. I had to have them send someone out to fix issues i had on at least 4 different occasions. The supervisors are all Americans, however their crews are all of Hispanic decent and can't speak English. The supervisors are never present when the work is being done. So when the customers have questions they can't communicate with the workers. Trying to communicate these issues with Great Days management is like talking to a brick wall, they're very cold and lack empathy. All they're about is getting their money. Junk Mail No!! Why does “Great Day Improvements” send thick shiny big sales flyers to “Local”? Exactly. They show no respect for the natural environment , human health, or privacy. Why? I tend to think businesses who use this type of marketing are not succeeding with word-of-mouth or social media. Reputation, respect and recommendations do not need outdated silly practices. Don’t be fooled by shiny fliers! Slick is slick. Ps: Don’t call me local. Don’t call me household of. Don’t call me resident. Junk Mail by any other name.

This is an update: Great Day did come back and fix the leak and sceen problems like they said they would. Thank you, Sheldon, Tim, and Charlie, for your professionalism. I am so disappointed in this company. We have leaks from the get-go. I had to call many times to get a response. It took several weeks for them to come back out to fix the leaks. However, the worker left saying not to check for leaks for a few days because he used cement in one area. A few days later, we checked for leaks, and we still have leaks. Also, two of our screens were creased. There is no product management checking before sending out, or the guys that build it are not careful. They fixed the screens except one of them that opened the door and was loose at the bottom, and now it needs to be repaired. The salesman

Worst company we ever dealt with - we signed a contract for a sun room in November of 2021 but was not completed until July of 2022. We had numerous issues during all phases of this project. Work crews using our back yard for their personal ash tray. Crews showing up for a couple of hours and not seen again for days and sometimes weeks. We had to constantly reach out to GDI to get a time frame on crew return. Poor quality workmanship / short cuts that took repeated returns to correct the issues. House damage that had to be repaired. I, the customer, had to develop the project punch list! We, the customer, had to coordinate directly with the subcontractor and the county (building permit) since GDI stated it would take even longer if we relied on them!
