I was assigned Green Home Innovations by the New York State Empower+ program for a free energy audit and weatherizing. Ken came out for the energy audit and found a couple small gas leaks that he fixed on the spot and pointed out areas where we were losing heat in the winter. He then wrote up a detailed proposal for work to be done to increase our energy efficiency. Lucking NY paid for the work and I am thrilled with the job they did. First, they replaced my attic vents to be appropriate for the space and sealed out the rodents and birds that were getting in. They gutted my attic of old insulation, created a raised storage space and filled the attic in blown cellulose. They also foam sealed the rim of my basement.
