Green-Hudson Garage

This is a ParkAlbany garage. We paid $11 for 3 hours and 1 minute. Free for 20 minutes, $3 for each first three hours and a maximum of $15. The weekend rate is $6 for the day. It has five EV Level 2 charging spots but one is reserved for handicap parking. Many other places with handicap EV charging have a sign that says you can charge at the handicap if all other spots are full but the Green-Hudson Garage site doesn’t say that. The other four spots were taken so we couldn’t charge. An issue is that two of the four plugged-in EVs were full but still plugged in. Since there isn’t an idle fee they didn’t have to move once fully charged. All places with limited charging spots should have an idle fee. Even if it’s an hour before the idle fee starts. I wouldn’t count on getting a spot to charge

I don’t make it to Albany often, but when I do, I always end up parking at this garage. The location works well for me—if you’re like me and don’t mind walking, it puts you in a good spot to explore. If your destination is closer to The Egg or that side of the city, then it might make sense to park somewhere else, but for photography, walking, and grabbing food, this place is just right. I’ve never had trouble finding a spot, and getting in and out is easy, which isn’t always the case with city garages. Plus, the large mural makes it instantly recognizable—a simple but helpful detail when trying to remember where you parked. For convenience and accessibility, this garage does the job. It’s become my go-to in Albany.

It seemed like a decent price and was easy to get in and out of.

I was looking for good parking close to the Albany greyhound station and finally found this secure and enclosed parking garage, very convenient to park and ride! The station parking is open and not that secure. Green-Hudson garage parking is free on weekends! The shutter opens when you pull the ticket from the machine! There's no attendant on nights and weekends. It wasn't crowded when I parked, don't forget to take the ticket with you! You need it to get in the garage when you return!

Generally like most other parking garages. Plate readers let you in & out so you don't usually need to scan your parking card. Seems well kept and they are always quick to fix anything that's broken or worn out
