Green Star Fence

Green star recently installed 370ft of fencing partly chain link and privacy. The price was competitive and job was done in a timely manner. I'm a little on the picky side but can't really find anything that wasn't done to a high standard. Very sturdy and should last awhile. Highly recommend.

The family owners of Green Star were great to coordinate with (from out of state), and the timeliness and quality of work was beyond expectation. I’d definitely hire them again in the future.

Green Star Fence built us a beautiful 6-foot privacy fence last year. We had gotten several quotes and their pricing is very competitive! I've seen the reviews about lack of communication however Mark and/or Marty always got back to us in a very timely manner and kept us up-to-date on the progress of our fence. About 3 months after the completion of our fence an enormous tree fell on it and crushed a couple panels. I contacted them to get a quote on the repair and see when they would be able to do it because they built it and I trusted them to do a great job repairing it! They know we have dogs and Marty offered to come out the next day and put up some chain-link to cover the gap to keep the dogs in until they could do a full repair. I cannot recommend this company to install a fence. The communication was terrible from start to finish (for example, we had no contact for 3 months and then were emailed "We'll be there tomorrow"). The quality of workmanship started off great, but soon deteriorated. When I met with Mark and Marty to discuss the issues they refused to listen and accused me of trying to get out of paying, and that I never told them my wishes. The invoice was increased by $500 in the middle of the project without a change order request.

Mark and Marty are very nice, but the lack of communication was a huge issue. When they came to pick up my deposit (an hour late though they called 10 minutes before our scheduled time saying they were on the way) they said I'd hear back in 2 weeks about an update. A month passed and I never heard from them. I emailed for an update and Mark said they were behind on another project due to weather, which is understandable, but an update would've been appreciated especially since they said they'd give one. When they were ready to start on my fence they just showed up and let themselves into my yard, no heads up. When they started working on my fence, they started installing a shadow box thought I wanted a standard privacy fence (and this was on the contract), so they had to start over. They a
