First of all, the lady at the office did explain it wasn’t in the best condition as it was cheap sod BUT she said with water it’ll come back. Ok sounds great so we ordered some for a residential home. The first piece of sod that was picked up was covered in fire ants therefore so was the arm picking it up. Bites all over the arms and legs. Trying to fight through all the red and black ants, the sod was just falling apart in pieces. Pretty much making it impossible to put down and a waste of money. When we called the lady to whom I spoke with, she flat out lied saying she tried to talk me out of my purchase because it was such bad sod. Absolute lie! I felt the need to leave a review because I was apprehensive using this company based off the reviews already online. I had no issues with this company. They were one of the only companies I called that actually answered the phone to schedule a shipment of sod. I got 5 pallets of Bahia grass. I had it delivered on a Friday and installed ourselves on Saturday. 1/5 pallets had ants but it’s grass.. so.. that’s not really anyone’s fault. Ants live in grass. Prompt service and delivery. My grass looks great 3 weeks later. First picture is delivery, second is after we installed, third is 2 weeks after install.

After a different sod company told us they could not come through on our sod for tomorrow after being in touch with them for weeks to arrange it, we called Green Thumb, and chatted with Allison. Honestly I was stressed because we are trying to fit this sod install into other build items, and when I explained the situation Allison listened patiently and then did her best to find a solution, and they made it happen, I can't believe it. Talk about customer service!!! Thanks so much Allison!

I hired Green Thumb to fill in a pond in my back yard. I thought the quote was fair and Mark (Green Thumb owner) quoted an option to raise an area next to the pond. Originally, I told Mark I wanted the other area filled in but prior to the start of the job I called the Green Thumb to cancel. I was out of town when the job was actually accomplished but when I came back all of these areas were filled in so this means Green Thumb ordered a ton more dirt than they needed to. While Mark acknowledged the mistake on his end, now I needed to sod a MUCH bigger area than I was planning on originally. Mark quoted $200 per pallet and 20 pallets needed (I have a large yard and it was destroyed in the front and side yard as well). Mark's guys performed the installation and did a great job but as p

Sod was pathetic. Nearly every piece was torn or shredded. Very thin with very little soil. Called Green Thumb and was told because of all the rain, the sod companies could not guarantee it and they were advising customers of such. I told them I was not advised and if I had been, I wouldn't have put out $170 for a pallet of bad sod. Was told the owner would call when she got back into town. Its been over two weeks, haven't heard a word. Advised my go to nursery who was appreciative and would advise their customers in need of sod to stay away from Green Thumb. Be wary of this lot, I believe there are much better sod companies in the area to choose from.
