Habitat KC ReStore

The selection consists of all donated or bulk-purchased overstock items. Quality and availability are highly variable. Catch as can! The staff are very friendly and helpful. I’ve found one or more great deals on every visit! They even occasionally have random free items, like the three other ReStores in the KC area.

I like this place. I go in every so often to look for specific things. Was looking for kitchen cabinets for my son. It's hit and miss but it's got plenty of variety and the people are helpful. Some of it is garbage but there are deals to be had

Absolutely love coming here to support an incredible cause AND there’s a wonderful selection. It’s like going to Home Depot, except everything is affordable! We got a great deal on a recliner- it was Lazy Boy and like new! We have gotten kitchen countertops here, lights, faucets, paint and more! We come here first before going anywhere else.

This place is seriously a joke! They have a whole section of Pottery Barn chairs that says “$5-$20 Pottery Barn chairs.” I picked out 4 that each had $20 price tags and tried to pay. The guy says “I’m sorry, those were mis-marked. They are $75 each.” I told him there is a whole section over there and he says that is not a section anymore. What?! That is false advertising. Also they had 2 lightning fixtures that said they were “vintage” Sputnik Murano for $1500. These were clearly NOT vintage which you can tell by the wiring and metal. They sell new at Lowe’s for under $300 each. Not going back to this deceptive business.

ReStore sells donated building materials and home furnishings to the public at deeply discounted prices to raise money for KC's Habitat for Humanity affordable housing programs. Donors drop off items (or schedule a pick-up), ReStore prepares the items for sale, and then shoppers make purchases that help fund new Habitat homes. The Martin City location is HUGE and always has a great selection. Their free home pick-up service also makes it super easy to donate!
