Haffner's Propane and Heating Oil

My experience with Haffner’s Oil Company over the past two years has been nothing short of frustrating, disappointing, and frankly unprofessional. What began in late October to early November 2024 as a simple attempt to order a heating oil fill turned into a recurring nightmare that has now happened two years in a row — both times involving the same two employees, Justine and Amy Joe. In late October 2024, I called Haffner’s to ask if my account could be charged for an oil fill. I was told by Justine that I would need to pay in full before delivery. I explained that I didn’t have the funds that day and would call back in a week to place the order. We switched a heating oil account for my 95 year-old mother to Haffner/Energy North from another local provider. We also had them install a new Oil furnace/boiler. While oil delivery service has been satisfactory, the install was overpriced and raised questions about the integrity of Haffner's/Energy North. We had a proposal from our former dealer to install a Buderus boiler based system. I asked the Haffners team for a proposal and price to install a system of equal quality and especially efficiency. Haffner's proposed to install a Peerless boiler based system. In multiple discussions, that system was represented to be of the same quality and efficiency as the Buderus. my landlord called because the heat kept shutting off. happened 3 times. anyways they sent a tech over. there is a camera in the basement- Edited- had an issue with a technician and haffners handled it very professionally and i am pleased with the response time. thank you for taking my concerns seriously and look forward to more years of service.

I recently switched to Haffner's because my previous company was extremely overpriced. I am very happy with the whole process. I spoke with Justine, Debbie and Jodi who were all very pleasant and helpful getting the paperwork done and scheduling the site walk and install of the tanks. Andy came out and did the site walk and the install within 24 hours of my first phone call. I was extremely impressed with his professionalism and attention to detail, making sure everything in the house was working properly before he left. I am very happy I chose Haffner's.

Called for tank assessment and fill. A kind and thorough gentleman came out very quickly for assessment and failed our tank. Which we totally understood considering it seemed very old and original to our 1960’s home. After a week of waiting for a call back both myself and my husband began calling Haffner’s to establish what repairs or if a replacement was needed. Took 6 days of calling constantly being told the person we needed to speak with was “away from her phone” “on break” or “on the other line.” The woman forwarding calls was very kind and apologetic. Finally after 9 days we received a call from a gentleman who said he would email us quotes. 4 days and 3 calls to Haffner’s later still have not received said quotes. We are now out of oil thus leaving us without hot watet for our c
