I like doing business with local companies, so I decided to purchase my flooring from Haplins in Gonzales. The salesman there did no follow-up calls about my future purchase. I had to do all the calling. I found a flooring I liked and purchased the flooring which totaled $11,000. After I purchased the flooring, no one ever called me about installation or anything. I had to call several times to set up a date to get my expensive floors installed. Mind you I purchased the flooring in July and its now October and my flooring is scheduled to be finally put in the last week of October. Not one time have I received a call to confirm my upcoming installation. So, we will see if this happens! I will never purchase any type of flooring from them again. We prefer to do business with local retailers when we can rather than the big box stores. However, this time it is with much regret. We ordered and received almost $1800 of vinyl plank flooring and materials at $2.99/sq.ft - 15 boxes of flooring. One box was damaged in shipment and they refused to take it back, and refused to credit my account. They said if i had a good contractor to lay it (which i did) they could have used it in those sections where they would have to cut the vinyl to fit. What the Hell? Like Hell NO!!! The contractor sees damaged material they put it aside and just open another box and leave that box for last - which they did, and it turns out we didn't need that box at all - the salesperson over estimated as well by over 1 box - at over $100/box. We ordered almost 3k worth of flooring a week ago. The rep said the order was coming from Houston and would be in on the following yesterday. We called to check on the order and the woman who answered was clueless of our order. Today the rep who put in our order called first thing in the morning and said the Houston warehouse “forgot” to put the order on the truck and it would be another week for our floors to come in. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE and POOR BUSINESS!!!!!!!

Very knowledgeable sales people. Tommy went out of his way to ensure that I got the flooring I was looking for !!!

Better tile selection for kitchen backsplash. Way better than big box stores
