Recently, we had Handyman Connection of Halton/Burlington come to our house to help with patching several few drywall holes in the ceiling… Matty and his team came and quickly filled the holes with drywall, taping, sanding to a ‘paint-ready’ state, for me to then complete. Note: They also can provide full painting services as well for an additional cost. They were very professional, polite, and clean and effective in filling our ceiling holes. We liked them so much, that soon after we asked them to come back and take out a soundboard ‘drop ceiling’, and replaced this with several large sheets of drywall, again taping, putty work, and sanding. We reached out to Handyman Connection for assistance with two drywall repair projects in our garage this February. The friendly scheduling staff quickly found us a tradesman and set up the initial assessment at a time convenient for us. Additionally, I mentioned interest in getting a quote for a second project as well, so Ms. Hannah reserved a follow-on day for our potential second job. Great first impression! Contracted for simple unfinished drywall repair in garage. Agreement during estimate was 'ready to paint' condition. Cons: -every single repair larger than a nail hole was mudded over too thickly, causing cracks as soon as it started drying. This was present on every surface of the garage and requires hours of additional sanding / refilling. -tape was not removed+replaced where needed as stated in contract, leading to peels/cracks exactly as before. -section quoted for removal+replacement was just slathered with more mud, which then cracked. -It took a work week of missed calls to schedule a supervisor to come inspect the unsatisfactory work. -They never showed up (I took time off from work for the appointment). I flew in from out of state to have a timer wired to control the outside lights at our family home. I scheduled the 9:00 an.m. appointment a week in advance. The night before the appointment, I received a voicemail that it had to be canceled due to an emergency. When I called the next morning to inquire what would happen, Alex offered to reschedule it for the following week.
