After having 3 prematurely-failed roofs over the last 41 years, I would say that Harlan Quality Roofing lives up to the quality part of their name - from the estimator, Kaleb, to the roofing crew. I was impressed that James, the company's owner, came and went up on the roof to check on how things were progressing. This company was the only one that noted that my roof had a low-slope area which needed special material, not regular roofing shingles. (Don't rely on building inspectors to catch everything since this went past 3 of them!) I was pleased that they used high quality shingles made by CertainTeed and Flintlastic for the low-slope area. When we requested. A Quote, Kaleb came out immediately to talk to us. He answered all of our questions to our satisfaction and the estimate was fair & to our liking. We were surprised with an opening right away and the tear off crew showed up the next day Wednesday morning bright & early. They were done in 2 hours. The roofing crew showed up immediately afterwards. And, by Friday at noon, they were done. The shop superintendent, Frank, talked us through the process from start to finish and we just beat the rainstorm by two days which was a relief. Overall, we could not be happier. The roof looks great.

We had a great experience with Harlan throughout the process. We called them to repair, once and for all, a leak that seems to re- appear every 5 years in spite of efforts of other companies. Jason spent nearly 3 hours doing a thorough , well documented inspection and diagnosis taking to really ensure good information, as just part of the estimate process. Then, once we agreed on work, he did a temporary fix for impending severe weather (which worked), pending scheduling of the full job. The team who did the full job was great to work with, knowledgeable, explained everything, and left everything immaculate after the three day project. Office staff was on top of scheduling and communicating plans. So, end to end a good experience, the result looks great, and the leak has not re occur

I heartily recommend Harlan Roofing to anyone. They are professionals and treat you with respect, and I chose them after reviewing 3 separate parties. -Initial estimator Rob was friendly, knowledgeable, and never tried to sell me on anything. Even advised me against getting solar attic fans installed. Other roofing companies did not have the same attention to detail or level of professionalism. -They helped coordinate adding fiberglass insulation for the attic as well -The owner James checked in multiple times to ensure the job was done right. Explained to me how the roof vents worked while he was on site, and allowed me to add more roof vents than what was planned for free. Advised me to ensure my solar panels which were being installed by separate company did not conflict with roof vent

My roof was very old (nearly 30 years) and the tiles were in terrible shape, with a lot of wood rot underneath. The owner of Harlan (James) came out and gave me a very detailed quote and was very clear about all charges and possible charges. Tear off of the roof happened in one hour! And after much repair/replacement of the rotted wood (which took about a day) the actual shingling of the roof was about another day, meaning the whole took about 3.5 days. I purchased their higher end shingles (Certain Teed) which cost more, but were thicker and made me feel great about the look and durability of the new roof. James and his crew were available at every step of the way to answer my questions. I'd highly recommend Harlan for your roofing needs.
