Heating & Air Conditioning

Less than impressed with this business. HVAC system went out three days ago during a heat wave. Was told to call Oakes as it constituted an emergency. They said someone would be there by end of day…. Nothing. Next day explained to the company that it was 88 degrees in our home, and they continued to kick the can down the road saying “we’ve been paging our technicians someone is coming”. Well here we are day three of 88 degree temperatures inside the house and numerous calls… still the same thing “someone is coming”. Update: Called again. New response is “I don’t know what to tell you.” Final Update: Called a legitimate service and explained the emergency. They came within 12 hours and fixed it within one hour. Avoid this business unless poor customer service is your thing.

Update 1 to 3 Stars. The owner of the company contacted us and correctly fixed the issues and fixed the way the system was set up. Overall satisfied. Unprofessional. Had to use them through our home warranty. Not sure if they installed our system but it was not installed properly. They were supposed to come fix it. When the warranty people called and asked who was working on the work order they refused to give me their names. They completed the work and left without making sure the repairs were done correctly. Overall not impressed with this company.

I live in a new construction home, Oakes are the ones who put in the HVAC system. My heater wasn't working called and was told it would be $170 for them to come out and it had to be in cash. We called a different company. The amount of issues they found. From wires not hooked up correctly (or at all), pipes, water damage, rust the list goes on. Very clear that they cut corners when installing our HVAC system. And it cost me a pretty hefty bill.

I have been living in a new construction home for 2 years and this is the company who installed our HVAC. I have had to call 3 times since moving in this house for our AC malfunctioning and pay $175 TWICE as a service fee. It took 4-5 men last time to “figure out the problem” after 2 days and 2 failures of trial and error. & guess what? It’s not working AGAIN!! Everything about this company seems shady and unprofessional

As someone who suffers from allergies, I was pleased to find Oakes Heating & AC Inc. Their team did an exceptional job of removing dust, dirt, and allergens from my air ducts. I immediately noticed a difference in the air quality in my home and no longer experienced allergy symptoms. The technicians were friendly and efficient, and I appreciated their attention to detail!!
