Helmke Industries and John Helmke runs a fantastic business. I’ve used John for years for various one-off projects (extensive rebuild of a rock farmers wall, an almost 1000sqft paver patio and fire pit with flower beds and plantings, and most recently a planting of over 120’ line of Green Giants). John is reliable and honest, makes great recommendations and conveys his extensive knowledge of his trades. Communication exceeds expectations. John is on site himself setting his teams up and always checking in with them. His guys are skilled and do great work, clean up, and are respectful. Highly recommend.

John Helmke provided me with excellent over all service for my outside drainage system (New basin, repaired existing basin, dug a canal around my garage to a catch basin) and a new lawn. He explained in details on how he was going to tackle the job spending about 2 hours with me while he examined his scope of work. He made great suggestions and drew out a plan for me. He implemented the work profesionally and was always at the site making sure everything was done 100% correct. He was easy to communicate with and always came through when I needed him. Their prices were very reasonable, and I really wanted to go with them because of the great customer service I received from the receptionist on the phone. She wasn't rushing me and was very friendly and cheerful. When I spoke to John the owner, he also was very friendly and knowledgable. The workers at Helmke go above and beyond. They make sure that everything is perfect before they leave. They even reinstalled some lighting fixtures that got knocked out because of the snow and fixed our lawn furniture that was moved around because of the wind. I can't say enough good things about John and his team at Helmke Industries. Once I had removed all the old and over-grown plants at my home, my wife and I knew we needed a professional to design and install a simple an easy to maintain landscape that was also beautiful and increased the home's curb appeal. John worked with us very closely to ensure we were happy with each plant he would use and the project came out beautifully. We've had John back a couple of times for additions and refreshes to the landscaping and he is always a pleasure to work with and the job is done right. Helmke doesn't disappoint!
