I’ll start my review with Mike, their sales person who came to provide my initial consultation and quote. He was excellent—I requested very specific manufacturers for the equipment I wanted, rather than what they might traditionally install and wasn’t met with pushback or second guessing of my choices in order to “push” me towards a more preferred manufacturer. He fully honored all my requests, and generously made himself available to answer questions and get feedback—including a 9pm text message exchange. Additionally, the scope of work for the job he quoted was substantially greater than another local service provider, and at roughly $5000 lower cost as well. Our installation is only 1 day old so I can’t give a comprehensive review quite yet. The installers ( James and Alex) however were great. They were fairly young but extremely well versed in their jobs. I asked a lot of questions and had a few suggestions about the installation. The provided good answers each time and then worked to accommodate my specific requests. They were hard working and I was very impressed with their workmanship too. Every conduit or other equipment connected to the house was accurately measured, leveled and professionally installed. The sales agent (Jeromy) also was straight forward and nice to work with. I contacted Holbrook Heating after I heard a noise coming from my basement and there was water visible. They stated a contact can be there in 2 hours and He was. He checked the furnace and water heater and showed me the water heater issue and recommended it being replaced since it was over 10 years old . He quoted me a reasonable price and said installers can be here the next day by 10 am and they were. The installation went smoothly and the installers answered all my questions. I am not used to this exceptional service so I will certainly use Holbrook in the future.

I had high hopes for this company, but unfortunately my experience was disappointing. The service call fee was higher than most other HVAC companies in the area, and I wasn’t told that the fee didn’t include the first hour of labor. That was frustrating right from the start. The technician who came out was polite and professional, but he didn’t have all the tools needed to complete the job. He mentioned he didn’t have his combustion tester on the truck, so he couldn’t finish all of the diagnostic work during the visit. After looking at the furnace, he said he believed the heat exchanger was cracked. I asked for a quote to replace the unit and was given an estimate of over $7,800 for a 60,000 BTU furnace. The technicians, James I and Tony B. were great in keeping me up to date on their progress. They laid sheets done to walk on the floors in our house. They answered my questions. I had to leave to run an errand and I was very comfortable leaving them in our house to work. I was most impressed with how well they cleaned up after themselves and put things back that they moved.
