Changing my review to one star based upon the poor follow up on a simple lighting problem and a more honest review of the job process. Joe left the job site when the pool arrived and would not fit through the gates. I had to deal with the crane company and deal with the work around to get the pool moved onto our property. Still We are very happy with our Latham Fiberglass pool purchased from and installed by Joe at Home Run Pool builders. The construction project started in August 2023 and completed in February 2024. I would say that Joe is an honest contractor and the overall quality was adequate. The work site was very messy and there was no culture of cleaning up daily. I had to insist on them cleaning the job site.

I would strongly discourage anyone from considering Joe Tarlpey at “Home Run Pool Builders”. Dealing with him has been a complete disaster. Joe has proven to be untruthful, financially unstable, and unable to afford labor. He consistently misses deadlines, uses incorrect parts, and takes shortcuts, uses unlicensed sub-contractors resulting in a subpar job. What was initially supposed to be a 120-day project has stretched well beyond a year due to his incompetence. Joe requires constant reminders and pushing to meet his commitments. Even after full payment, Joe remain unresponsive and leave the job incomplete. Dealing with Home run pool builders has been an incredibly frustrating and disappointing experience. If I could do it all over again, I would never use this guy.
