If I could give 0 star I would have. I’m working out how best to complain to the consumer forums and small claims court. We had a one room laminate installation and Home Depot flooring department was very helpful till we bought the materials and the installation service. Since then it went downhill. It’s been 4 weeks now and the job is still not done. They delivered the wrong thresholds first. Had no coordination with GSFlooring their contractor. Missed dates of installation. Delivered the wrong material in wrong quantities again. As I write this the installer is scheduled to come tomorrow but Home Depot has missed the item delivery again. If I could give 0 stars for the carpet dept, I would. We ordered carpet and installation through home depot, and every bit of this process since the bid has been mishandled. Our carpet was supposed to be installed 2 days ago, after we moved out and before the new tenants move in. Not only did they screw up the order multiple times, necessitating hours on the phone and multiple trips to the store, when the carpet failed to arrive in time for installation 2 days ago, we didn't know until today, the day before new people move in, that the carpet was never installed as no one called to inform us of that. The sales people are apathetic and lack technical knowledge of the items for sale. In particular, the kitchen designer did not want to help in designing my project and wanted $99 to send someone out to measure. I went to a Home Depot in Evanston and they were friendly and helpful in designing my project for FREE. I ordered $7000 worth of cabinets from them. Stay away from the Home Depot on 1300 S Clinton......bad service with an attitude and no technical knowledge.

Went in to by a bathroom faucet and a Plumbing associate Ben helped me with choosing an faucet that matches the other fixtures in my bathroom. He also informed me about the other services that Home Depot offers. I definitely will visit this store and look him up on any and all my future projects and home repairs.
