Home Services at The Home Depot

Delivered damaged goods without requested notification before delivery and ran. I was lucky the freezer was still there when I found it. They Don't stand behind their products or services(delivery). Then they want disabled people to somehow return a large appliance(upright freezer) to the store (delivery was because I'm DISABLED). This is all after getting bumped from delivery the day before. Seems like they're willing to bump people to suit their own likes, but won't bump a delivery to make the ones they screwed up right. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Seems wrong to start another job before you finish the first one correctly, in my books.

The only reason this Home Depot has business in Galveston is it's the only main store in Galveston but they will no longer get any of my business. Ill drive 20 miles to the nearest Lowes if I need anything. The customer service is horrible at this location. Even getting a department on the phone is next to impossible much less help in the store. I went in to order kitchen cabinets. I placed my request to order and had a 3rd party sent to my home by Home Depot. I was charged for this service which was fine. The 3rd party came out and measured and told me to go to the store and work with their "In Store Designer". I've bought 2 full sets of cabinets in the last 10 years at Lowes with excellent results. I just ordered a pantry facing from them to finish the project started 8 months ago at HD (MY THIRD SET OF CABINETS). Why so long, well let me summarize the disaster dealing with Pat in Kitchen Design (noted in a previous poor review) put me through a NIGHTMARE lasting 8 months. She overcharged me over $3500.00 on a single cabinet initially (I noticed it when I got home). Then couldn't refund $ till they could find a person to open the safe - next day returned and finally got refunded. This was just the first $ error, one more after that found. She ordered more that one cabinet dimensions incorrect (blamed it on the installer/measurer person). Had to delay countertop installers. I called installer/me

I like the fact that they are on the island. Are they highly responsive or everything you might want...… no but overall my experiences have been good and their staff has been pleasant to decent. The island is a tough place, I am happy they are here and buy from them.
