Home Services at The Home Depot

Shout out to Bryan in the Appliances department at the Georgetown Home Depot! He went way above and beyond to help me track down a part online that Home Depot doesn’t even sell individually. I had been struggling to find it on my own, and he took the time to help me get it figured out. On top of that, he was super quick to help me find the dryer vent that they do carry so I could finish what I needed in one trip. Excellent customer service — really appreciate the help, Bryan! 5 stars! (Side note- sadly the dryer vent was overpriced, $16 for some cylindrical foil and a ring clamp..sheesh, inflation stinks)

Had our windows redone which took much longer than intended and as told by the salesman. The delays were all due to miscommunication internally by different parts of Home Depot. We were contractually obliged to allow them to move forward despite exceeding the expected date, which created numerous issues. Regarding the team of coordinators for home improvement with home Depot, to like them to headless chickens would be too insulting to poultry. They have been horrid to work with on both a cupboard renovation as well as window replacement. Even the teams they hire for labor refuse to do what was agreed in the contract. Our family has done more business with THD than any other business or businesses related to home improvement. In this case, the services needed were not realized. I must warn my fellow consumers against The Home Depot Home Services in Georgetown, TX. I did spend 4 months trying to book their services and it was very painful. I should have given up but I was working long-distance to arrange home improvements and thought I had gone so far that it was too late to turn back. We paid and were ready to move forward. Weeks later, they called and said they could no longer do the job. You are welcome to message me for details consumers. We had issues just trying to get our sink and faucet installed. Employees have issues with their training. They wrote our information for installation twice on paper! The management tried to help, but I really felt kind of "handed-off" from one to the next. Of couse, that could be because it took over a week to simply schedule our installation time. Yes, over a week just to schedule. When the installer did call, she was very rude and exasperated. All I wanted was someone to help install our sink and faucet that we purchased. I had to call five times, drive up there twice just to fix THEIR mistakes. DO NOT use Home Depot for their "72 hour carpet install". Mine has turned into TWO WEEKS, and wasted one full day of my time waiting for the installers that never showed up, and including the 3 trips into the store I had to make to re-select which carpet I wanted. I feel like I am dealing with the most incompetent people on the planet.
