Went in with high hopes and was actually excited to talk with knowledgeable folks, but I was super disappointed, had few technical questions and the man at the counter could not have been more dismissive and made it like my mere presence was hassling him. Flatly said. " I'm tech , I don't know ,but it's a non refundable purchase ". I deal in commercial restate ... will take my business elsewhere. Not having the knowledge is one thing , How your staff interacts with a client , and talks to people is another. They represent your company and there is a way to interact with people... and a way that would not make someone want to do business .

Do not get keys copied here. I recommend the hardware store on Fairmount instead, they were cheaper and the keys actually worked. I got several copies of two different keys made, and one worked, while the other didn't. They wouldn't give me a refund for the non-working copies, just remade the copies, and they still didn't work. They do have signs up saying they don't do refunds, but regardless of signs they should either refund or provide what I paid for. Besides. they have tons of signs up, and I don't make a habit of spending 20 minutes reading signs every time I walk into a store for a simple service.

I had a very positive experience interacting with Houdini Lock and Safe over removing a padlock. Having tried a couple of different approaches myself I contacted them for a quote. The guy I talked to gave me a quote but also gave me advice about how to solve it myself. And the advice worked! I'm impressed that they cared more about giving good advice than making money from fixing it themselves. If you have a lock-related problem to solve and want someone who actually cares about solving it, I can recommend Houdini!
