House of Andala Lamp Shoppe

Had a family heirloom glass lamp shade broken. I took it there hoping maybe something could be done but didn’t think it really could be. I could not be happier and impressed with the results. So thankful for their knowledge and talent.

I have an antique crystal chandelier whose ferrule had broken. I took it to the House of Andala Lamp Shoppe to see if it could be repaired. The man was quite condescending and dismissive towards me from the moment I walked in. He told me that it could not be repaired, and even if it could, that it was "nearly impossible" to put the ferrule back on the arm. He said that I would need to replace the entire arm and, since it is antique, it is nearly impossible to find an exact match, so I would need to replace **all** the arms ($28 each) if I wanted it to look nice and consistent. Also, I would need to leave the old arm with him so that he could look through his books to see if he could find a match, and that it would take 2 weeks. WHAT?!? I recently moved to South Bend and was so happy to find this lamp store. They have fixed several lamps for me…one a crystal and glass chandelier and another a pair of antique sconces and did a fantastic job. Great customer service. I also bought a lovely lamp and lampshade. I highly recommend this shop.

I’ve had an antique lamp re-wired here as well as a new light fixture that needed a longer extension of cord and chain. The chain was difficult to match but they found one that was perfect. They are always friendly, reasonably priced and very good at repairs. I’m grateful to have this resource locally!
