We bought a new HVAC from Hughes less than two years ago, and during the snow of January 2026, the control panel died. It took Hughes four days to get to us. The mechanic who looked at the unit told us we needed everything but a control panel, we agreed to the work which happened a week later, and their bronze service plan. The mechanic tried to sell us a $15 solution called “HOT” for $150, which wasn’t verified through the company. We said no, but he pushed the issue repeatedly (we bought it on Amazon). After he left, the unit stopped working immediately. The VP, Jason, was supposed to order the proprietary control panel the next day. It has been three weeks, and the unit hasn’t

I had absolutely excellent service from the minute I called the hotline to when my mechanic came and fixed my heater! They worked with my schedule and were able to find me someone in 48 hours. My mechanic was very professional and explained everything to me regarding the issues I was having. I would definitely recommend this company for anyone who needs help! Prices are also super reasonable.

The guys at Hughes were wonderful!! They were professional, knowledgeable, friendly, hard-working, and easy going. A real estate friend/neighbor recommended them to me and I am very pleased. I will 100% recommend them to others and definitely use them again. They didn't pressure me and took time to explain everything. At the end, they cleaned everything up and it looked great. I got a new (gas) furnace and a water heater, installed a register, and removed the ancient oil tank.

I went with Hughes for the installation of a heat pump and not only were they great at discussing the different options and answering all my questions, they were efficient and did a complete job. A year later and I am so happy with them I hope to get the water heater replaced soon. Chad is stellar. So professional, knowledgeable, and returns my calls timely.

We called several companies for a defective oil burner that died this December with temperature hovering around 19 degrees. Hughes Mechanical was the ONLY company who called us back immediately and met with us the same day to resolve our issue. They went over several options, guiding us through the process to help make the best decision possible. Eventually we decided to ditch the oil burner for a new energy efficient heat pump system. The team at Hughes Mechanical are top notch professionals and I HIGHLY recommend them for their services, compassion, integrity and commitment to excellence.
