Illinois Center Parking North - LAZ

Tobias should be fired very ignorant and sassy with his attitude no help at all claims he can’t see a parking QR code on my phone !!!!very rude if u don’t like ur easy job then work elsewhere!!!!!

Very tight parking garage. Reserving online is great until you actually get there and try to use it. The instructions that come with your QR code says there’s a black box that’s labeled Online Parking Customers. No such box exists. We scanned our QR code and a ticket popped out, so we took it and parked. Once we came back to get our car, we went to a payment station and tried scanning our ticket but it didn’t show us validated or paid, but was charging us $35 more than what we originally paid. Bottom line is you need to know the secret handshake to know how use the QR code in order to get out of this garage. Won’t go back—parking was too tight and had to leave the key with a valet on the inside of the garage, even though we thought it was self park. Ugh, to much drama to just park a car.

We parked here on Monday, Sep 19th since it was convenient to Chicago's First Lady River Cruise. We got the validation from the cruise whose website says, "The discounted rate with validation is $14 (for 3 hours or less) or $15 (for 4 hours or less). No discounts offered for 4+ hours." We left at 3 hours 38 minutes and got no discount. These separate businesses are not on the same page. The garage lets you scan the validation, but if you don't get the discount, the gate attendants are helpless to do anything other than repeat the self-check out process and continue blocking cars waiting to get out.

The door on wacker dr was closed. The back entrance is on s water dr and once we found that it was okay. Turns are very sharp inside with some deadends we didn't realize until we were on them.

At night, the door opens in front of the shutter door.
