In & Out Moving & Storage

It's been several years since I used and reviewed these guys, so I'm posting this update: Do not use In & Out Moving & Storage. EVER. Here's a recap of my original review: The crew that moved me were amateurs. The placed a wooden skid directly onto my wood floor, loaded the skid, and then slid it on the floor before lifting it up. They did not leave scratches. They left GOUGES. The worst gouge was 6" long and 1/4" deep. The head of the moving crew said not to worry: In & Out would pay for repairs. Which turned out to be a flat-out life. I wanted to withhold partial payment to ensure they fixed the floors, but the crew chief said they would not unload my furniture at my new address unless I paid first. So they held my furniture hostage until I paid. It was a weekend, so there was no one

Starting out we had interviewed 8 moving companies. Eli was exceptional and gave us the lowest quote. We were to box our own items we wanted moved and the company would take down and move the big items. On Dec 19th the moving crew showed up. Now the 3 guys packing were working hard but the foreman was a complete lazy jerk and at the end told my husband we should tip $50 per person. He kept stating during the pick up " oh I'm saving you so much money". Now keep that at the forefront of this review. I understand look at paperwork before signing but also the foreman should have pointed out the added $1500 (from saving us money) price at the bottom. Conduct business with In and out moving and storage at your own risk. At first you might think you are getting a cheaper option but be careful especially if moving out of state, additional estimates like long carry and shuttle would be included upon delivery. I paid over a thousand dollar more than the estimate. Also, they become less responsive after they pick up your items. Several of my calls went unanswered. Furthermore, their basic insurance is 60cents per pound. You may be tempted to not worry about it and that the movers owe you a duty of care so they would be careful but no. My Tv, desk and tv stand were damaged and the insurance company they use ‘Anthem Claim Management’ valued the items at 149 pounds for a total settlement of $89.40. Good afternoon all who's reading this review. Peace onto you. Ok! My wife and I are happy with this company. Their team of three were steady, quick, professional, and nothing was damaged. I would recommend them to anyone who's looking for a good moving company. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention. Please have you money ready for payment at the end. No exceptions. No excuses. Great company to work with. Although I ultimately went with a family friend (right place right time), In & Out was very pleasant to work with. Eli was patient and thorough in ensuring I understood the full scope of service provided and price paid. It helped me understand what I’m actually paying for and how I can adjust based on what I needed to move. In my case, I moved items for a 1 bedroom apartment across the country and knew I had some items I didn’t need. It allowed me to be accurate in my inventory measurement and therefore my costs! Appreciate your time.
