Jeff R. came over last Saturday with one of the training sessions. He handled my two massive beasts of a dog with the perfect mix of assertiveness and calm. Otis is a big, gentle baby (155 lb) but has a bark that sounds like your life is in imminent danger. Snoopy is really intelligent but she is a rescue and it's like dealing with a 130 lb. puppy. He got both of them to understand within just a minute how the fence worked. He came prepared with treats and showed me exactly what I needed to do to reward the behaviour we needed to see. This training was about getting them to understand the limits of the electric fence with a small correction if they cross the boundary, but immediately rewarding them for coming back home. From the very start, we had a great experience!
