I Had my central AC system installed on 10/15/25, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. I reached out to island comfort on 10/12. Supervisor Donoven came to evaluate my old system on 10/13. He is very knowledgeable. He helped me to decide on the system which will be the best one to meet my needs. He took time to explain the system and answered my questions. Donoven and his crew (Matthew, Fearen, and Josh) arrived on time on 10/15. Three technicians are very good. They work efficiently and showed great attention to detail throughout the whole job. They helped to clean up the mess which was left behind by the prior technician I hired who failed the job completely. They are very polite and professional. One of my split units went bad. Island Comfort assessed the problem and advocated on my behalf with the manufacturer for replacement of the unit. Chaz Melchor is the tech from IC who came out and identified the problem. He then came back and installed a new unit. So glad I had previously purchased the extended warranty coverage. Chaz was such a pleasure to work with. He was always very courteous and professional. Every time he came to our house he was extremely pleasant, almost like he brought peace with him. While everyone at Island Comfort is wonderful to work with, Chaz is exceptional. He is very trustworthy and professional and I want him to be the one to work on our HVAC units. I had a multiple split AC system installed at my home by Island Comfort some time ago. Two of the units started malfunctioning so I tried to contact Island Comfort several times but all I could do was leave a message for which I never received a response. I then called another AC company who determined that the outside condenser unit was installed incorrectly by being undersized for the job which lead to premature condenser failure. The 20 amp electric service they installed was also marginal for the system requirements. If they had only responded to my phone call, my review could have been much better.

Buyer beware of the business practices of Island Comfort. I purchased an ac unit for approximately $8000 in July 2023. I was told by Rocky and their company reps that their electrician was licensed and insured. The electrician they sent out, Edwin Abalos, installed a 20 gauge electrical wire, for a 22 amp ac unit. This caused my ac unit to have electrical problems, with turning on and off, as well as electrical problems in my house. I had Edwin do additional work installing 3 prong outlets in 3 bedrooms and 3 ceiling fans. He did very poor work, and my house began to have power surges, sparking from the outlets and switch failures. He didn’t resolve the issue. I called RICO to check on his license status, since Island Comfort wouldn’t respond to my calls regarding the electrical problems w
