Dishonest, unprofessional, and very poor quality. Stay away from this company. We hired Sam and his team for a backyard and side patio, and it turned out to be one of the worst decisions we’ve made. Sam pressured us into paying an advance, then cut corners everywhere. In many areas there was no rebar at all, and where rebar was used, it was placed feet apart or laid flat on the ground — completely useless. They even demanded extra money partway through the job. Within just a month, cracks started showing up all over the patio. The finish is sloppy, the workmanship is cheap, and it’s clear they never cared about doing the job right. This company is dishonest and delivers substandard work. If you care about your home and your money, avoid them completely.

We hired Island to extend our patio and create a concrete walkway connecting our driveway with the side door of our garage. Overall, the work was very well done. The guys were thorough, courteous, and professional and we are very pleased with the end result.

Island Concrete did a good job repaving our driveway. They were super efficient and we are pleased with the results. We made sure we were onsite because these types of jobs involve owner input which needs to be done as the work is in process. We had an initial concern about the condition of the job site... food containers left in the yard, misc garbage, etc., but after a quick call with Sam, the team came and did a great job cleaning up. I would think twice about doing any concrete work if you aren't going to be present. I'd also make sure you remove things that might be impacted by "over pour" as the process can be messy.

Island Concrete did excellent aggregate work on our driveway and walkway--fast and efficient. The roadside asphalt first attempt was not properly supervised and the results showed it. Then Sam and his team returned to tear that out and the end product has gotten thumbs up from the whole neighborhood.
