Itchiban Yacht Painters

They did a good job on my Kayak as far as paint goes but I wonder why they agreed to spend so much money painting it when in the end it's a craft that has to be dragged over rocks. I think the fault was mostly mine for giving carte blanche to my bone headed buddy to build what I wanted as a Kayak but ended up as a fragile, un-usable yacht which is the worst of both worlds. It's not the fault of this nice shop but I just wonder why they agreed to spend so much time and money painting the thing when this type of craftmanship was uncalled for and destined to be ruined if used as intended, as in a Kayak dragged over rocky beaches in New England.
