James Gorman Flooring

Jim is an EXPERT and a craftsman. He did the hardwood floors in our new house and they are amazing. He used Tung Oil over a nice brown stain on variable-width red oak. If you saw our floors, you wouldn't want anyone but Jim doing your floors and you would also want Tung Oil instead of polyurethane. (FYI: the floors aren't oily, in case you thought that). Strongly recommend Jim over anyone if you have hardwood floors in the Glastonbury, Hebron, Marlborough, Manchester area! I second the other review that Jim is a very nice, genuine, hardworking guy. Our kids liked getting to know "Jim Gorman the floorman". 😀

Jimmy sanded, repaired and refinished the floors in our 1793 house and they are beautiful! He's a very nice man, prompt, hardworking, and eager to do what is best for the homeowner. He's had a lot of experience and is very knowledgeable about restoring old houses and gave us lots of great advice to help us bring out the best in our antique home. The first time he came to do the floors, he left without refinishing them, because he felt strongly that it would be best for us and more authentic to take up the modern flooring and uncover the beautiful old wide boards they were covering. When he learned that we were selling the house and didn't have the time or budget for that big a project, he readily agreed to refinish the modern flooring and did a fantastic job for an amazingly low price.
