Hired Jay’s Painting, led by Charles “Jay” Romero, for epoxy-resin interior flooring and paid a $5,000 deposit. Despite assurances, Charles failed to order materials or pay his subcontractor for work that started 5 weeks later. Numerous attempts to contact him to get payment to his subcontractor resulted in repeated unfulfilled promises to pay. This lack of professionalism and consideration for us as his client resulted in delays, extra housing costs, and stress for my family. Hired Jay's Painting for interior/exterior paint, tile backsplashes, and buffing quartz countertops. I hired the owner, Charles, despite negative reviews, due to his persistence. Problems began immediately. On day one, a worker arrived at 8:00 AM with no supplies or knowledge of the job. Charles, who promised to supervise, was absent; I was forced to manage his crew. ​Nearing completion, Charles requested the final payment, promising to finish within two days. I paid him in full, and he and his crew never returned. ​The work is incomplete and hazardous. His tile installer permanently grouted electrical outlets into the backsplash, a major safety hazard. Although they did get our home painted the owner Doesn’t honor his own warranty even with a signed contract. Jay asked for a deposit that we made to get on his schedule. He then asked for more money after starting because apparently his truck was broken into and couldn’t get the rest of the materials for the job(I call bs). Even when telling me he had already ordered all materials and was ready to complete the job a couple days after our deposit money was given. He got paid the rest(My fault I guess) and was never seen again, even tho he says he won’t finish until you’re completely satisfied. Hired Jay's painting. After 4 months of lies and unwillingness for Jay's to meet their contract terms, I decided to contact his Insurance. If you hire this contractor, do the same. The insurance makes it right regardless of Jay's refusal to meet the terms of the contract. Just look at this business reviews on YELP and Home Advisor. Both provide truthful reviews.

I hired JJ to do multiple projects, I paid him in full & 8 months later he hasn’t completed the work. I would never recommend using JJs painting. All the reviews explain his work very well, full of excuses and unreliable!!!
