I purchased my home in December 2018, almost 2 years after the roof was replaced by Jewell Custom Builders. I was having a porch installed this past week and the roofing company I used started removing shingles in the valley and around the chimney. There were two major issues discovered: many of the shingles were either nailed with only a couple of nails (6 are required by code) or weren't even nailed at all; the roof sheathing surrounding the chimney and the base of the chimney was completely rotted out and the flashing was old (many more years than 3 when the roof was replaced and the flashing should have been replaced too) and was not replaced at the time the roof was replaced in January 2017. This is only one section on the back slope of my roof, so there is a high probability that the
