They were once great, but not anymore! We wanted to start an annual service contract but mistakenly asked for just annual service. The technician said it should be no problem and just call the office and pay the difference. The owner on the phone said we absolutely could not start the contract until our next service in the fall and couldn't use the service contract 10% discount on work we need now. Also, the technician said it would be less expensive to replace our broken smart thermostat with a regular thermostat, but they wouldn't even provide a quote for a regular thermostat. Well, Johnson's Polar Air, your greed and terrible customer service has cost you this customer!

This company is to be watched out for. The customer service staff was very rude. Further, the owner exhibited tendencies towards outright fabrications of fact. Our job was poorly handled, even though the service tech was pleasant. Equipment installed was faulty. They denied knowledge of bad equipment. Further, they refused to remedy it. They even asked for more money due to them having to check on the system due to its malfunction. If it’s happening to one customer, this poor across the board service is happening to others. Be careful.

Our gas fireplace stopped working, so I asked a friend who recently had a repair done for a recommendation, if they were happy. Johnson’s Polar Air was the recommendation and “ask for Mike.” I neglected to ask for Mike when I called, but Mike was the one who came out. I was given a window of arrival, and Mike and his helper showed up on time. They diagnosed the issue, explained what was wrong, and that they would need to order a part. I paid for their visit and they called the next day with information about how much the part and installation would cost. I agreed. When the part came in, I received a phone call to schedule the repair, and they were out the next day. Not only did they install the new part, they ensured that all the logs were back in place, changed the battery in the remote s

We needed a full system replacement and Jose and Mark did a great job installing the equipment. In the initial visit, we were not up sold on anything, and Jose was honest in explaining what would make sense for us to do. The company was very quick in the entire process. Took less than a week from our initial visit, signing the contract, and the equipment running fully. Highly recommend!

As a former swimming pool contractor, I am hyper-sensitive to home service company attempts to overcharge, or sell me a replacement unit, or replace components that aren't faulty. Mark and Lee just left my home, I called Johnson's to check out my Heat Pump and a furnace that was not firing. He quickly diagnosed the furnace (my faulty wiring when I installed a new programmable thermostat). He dug into the heat pump, kept me informed of everything he was doing, and gave me several updates. Faced with some challenges (refrigerant obstruction?), he kept working at it - rather than make up some story of catastrophic failure, and suggesting a complete unit replacement.
