it's too bad I can't give zero stars, because I would. I've known Johnstone for a long time. In general, they are a good company, their other stores are well run. This location should be a duck pond. If you walk in, you are the only one there and the clerk just keeps typing. Then after 10 minutes or so, they acknowledge your existence in an otherwise empty room. Then they speak of their policy "well, we have a strict policy and can't, won't and dont...". I've been there 4 or 5 times. I tried to get sheet metal. they don't stock that. I tried to get a rollout switch, they've never heard of the part. I tried to get a draft inducer, they've never heard of the part and can't find it. All that typing for naught. I came home, found the parts I needed elsewhere in seconds, ordered them in seconds

Great counter people - I’ve shopped here for about a year and I’m happy to support this store. Very happy to have a location in McHenry county that is well stocked. It’s unfortunate they are closed on Saturdays, but still a good store with kind people.

Went to buy a Furnace blower motor. The sales associate took about 3 minutes to give me a price. I bought the motor at $305 and went home and felt odd that the sales associate took about 3 minutes. So I checked the price online at Amazon and it was only $136. Other than the pricing, the service was good as they were friendly and nice.

Excellent service! I needed an inducer motor on a Saturday, the day after Christmas and they were open. They had the part at a reasonable price with friendly service.

They are always very helpful, friendly and seem to always be able to get what I need!
