JP refinished our family's antique dining room set and we couldn't be happier with the result. He took great care to strip, sand, and refinish each piece by hand and make sure the final finish was the best it could be. JP is easy to work with, has good communication, and really listened to what we were asking for to make sure we were comfortable with the process and satisfied with the work.

After extensive research and reading reviews, we decided to consult with John regarding the refinishing of our 35-year-old dining room set. The set consisted of a dining table, six chairs, a buffet and china closet. He listed to our concerns and ideas of stain colors and finish. John thoroughly explained his meticulous process of hand stripping, sanding, staining and finishing each piece of furniture. The outcome was beyond what we could have imagined. The depth and quality of the finish was far beyond the original finish when it was new. John gave us an accurate cost estimate and timeline of when the furniture would be ready. JP did a fantastic job with refinishing my husband’s grandmother’s oak dresser! He is extremely knowledgeable about antique furniture and he makes sure to understand exactly what you hope the final product will be each step of the way. He made valuable suggestions as well, for which we are grateful. What JP does is a lost art; you won’t be disappointed by putting your prized family possessions in his capable hands. He has given us back a piece of my husband’s family history that we and our kids will continue to treasure!

JP Kelley is a consumate craftsman. Our 50 year old Cherry Pennsylania-House table and 6 chairs had been through a lot (kids, grandkids CATS etc:-). While our kitchen/dining room was being remodeled we thought it would be a great time to have them repaired and refinished. Using a drawer from the same period Drop-Lid Secretary, JP matched the stain for us. After repairing a chair, everything was striped, sanded, stained and given multiple finish coats. The gloss finish looks factory fresh! The kitchen remodel will be done soon and we can get these awesome looking pieces out of the storage unit. THANK YOU JP!!!
