Customer Reviews
Kentucky down under was better than I remember 20 years ago when I went. They had a wide array of animals. The kookaburra’s were beautiful. They had a lot of birds. They give you a map at the beginning to show you where all the animals are. All of the kangaroos and capybara’s are really docile. The emu’s were nice and the overall atmosphere was well-maintained and you could tell the animals are taken care of wonderfully. We even got to interact with a few of the workers and they were really nice. We got to hold a snake. We got to see the fennec fox and the wolves. Overall, the atmosphere was great and I saw people of all ages coming and going. My only suggestion is wear comfortable shoes. We interacted with a lot of the animals and it was a wonderful experience overall. I would recommend b
My sister and (54 and 56 yo) enjoyed this informative and interactive zoo very much. We typically don't gravitate to zoos but really enjoyed a lot of this place. A very thorough review I read said the hill to get in to the place was daunting, and even said it was hellish. It was steep but short, I could have easily walked it but we got a golf cart based on that review. In the end I'm glad we did but it seemed excessive. We stayed all day, 11 to about 4. Loved the animal shows which were educational. Loved the kangaroo enclosure, they were very tame and soft. Didn't love the emus because they are very pushy. Also they need new signs that are proofread by and English teacher, who could coach them on the proper use of apostrophes!! (Wolves's was the worst I saw but the same type of
The cave was so beautiful and exciting, but wear comfy shoes and be prepared for a lot of steps! The birds were gorgeous. It was great fun to feed the lorikeets!! Plenty of carts available for those who can’t climb hills. The walking and big climbs make this an adventure.
What a blast, great for all ages! Pet and feed kangaroos, they are soo0 soft, sweet and eat right from your hands. They were so gentle. Awesome birds, a cave tour and cafe. 1 stop shop! Fudge in the gift shop too! Tip: Rent the golf cart if budget allows, we opted to walk..if you choose the same.. expect steep hills. Will return!!
The grandkids had a great time feeding a variety of animals. And the cave tour which is included in the price of admission makes it a great value. The kids and I got to feed the lorikeets as well as the kangaroos, goats and other barnyard animals. The facility is well maintained and the staff is friendly and engaging.
