Kettering Moving & Storage

I share this out of concern for others who will potentially have the same issues. I’ve only written one negative review in my life. I cannot caution you enough to PLEASE find another company. The day they were supposed to show up to move, they were two hours late. I had everything boxed up and paid extra to have two large flatscreens boxed by them. They had only worked 3.5 hours the first day and said they had to go and would be back the next day at 7:30am bc we had a large pickup for the city coming. Not only did they not show up on time but the trash guy had to help my husband, who is disabled pack one item up to get thrown out as we had paid for it. When they did get there there was no care in how things were packed. They just threw what they could find on the trucks. We had instructed

The movers did an excellent job. Was able to move from my old house to my new house in 3 hours. No problem. I highly recommend

As the Administrative Supervisor of PTBC CPAs, a local Dayton company who used Kettering Moving & Storage to move our business today, I feel it’s important to say ‘I CAN NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY ENOUGH!!!!’ Moving is stressful, and being in charge of a business move is a level of stress I couldn’t have anticipated. The owners of Kettering Moving & Storage showed up to quote our business for what moving would cost and made us feel comfortable hiring them. Today 7 insanely strong movers showed up to execute our move from a 2nd story (with no elevator) building. Those 7 movers made quick work of emptying our previous office and filling our 2 new offices. Any direction the movers were given was followed, they asked multiple times for a double check that they were doing what was we asked for,

First time hiring "professional" movers to move our home and I would much rather have given the money to my friends. nothing about this was professional. I had to give advice multiple times on how to get an item through a doorway or hallway. They got my refrigerator stuck in two different doorways in my new home because they didn't have the tools or knowledge to take the fridge doors off to make it easier to move. it took them all day and two trips to move only the large furniture items and maybe 20 boxes from a 1400 sqft home, this is after I had disassembled everything before they arrived. The only redeeming quality is that the claims process was simple and they refunded me a significant chunk of money for shattering my 55 inch TV and damaging multiple other items in my new home as well

After negative experiences with other movers, we're glad we found Kettering Moving. We used them once for a local move in Dayton and a second time to move out of state after we retired. Both moves went very smoothly. Ken was up front and easy to work with. Fred and his crew were efficient, hardworking and careful with our stuff. Highly recommend.
