Five years ago, we hired Kevin Norton to transform our backyard. To this day, his work continues to impress us. 6 years ago, we hired Kevin Norton to replace our walkway. Things were going well....until he started on another job before completing this one. He left his mason alone to finish, but when Kevin popped over to check, it was done all wrong and they had to almost start over. The stone didn't line up correctly (see photos), but he was in a rush to get his mason to the other job and refused to listen to me or his assistant to discuss alternative measures/design. I asked him to replace the front railing. He did, but it's barely attached to the home and looks horrible. The finished work is a $30,000 embarrassment. Now, 5 years later the cement is drying up and gone, there are substantial cracks everywhere and, worst of all, stones are heaving. I've emailed, but the only reply I've gotten is that

We hired Kevin Norton for two big landscaping projects after moving into our new home. The projects involved a complete overhaul of the large front and side yards including a new lawn, front walkway, stone staircase through the side garden and stone wall along the garden border. Kevin did an amazing job! His team of talented designers and craftsman transformed our property into a showplace with high quality hardscape materials and unique, mature trees, shrubs and perennials. Shortly after purchasing a newly built house we hired Kevin to rip out the ‘builders special’ landscape and create something consistent with the house and neighborhood. We had him create a beautiful outdoor space in the back yard and he didn’t disappoint with a circular patio, sitting wall, natural steps leading to the patio and amazing plantings. We liked his work so much we hired him to make the front yard equally as appealing (see picture) We were thrilled with his work and many neighbors were as well as he went on to landscape 1/2 dozen houses on the street. Truly outstanding service. Kevin and his crews performed terrifically on our large landscaping project including demolition and removal of trees, weeds, broken fences, our pool's deck, and replacing them with exactly the fence and porcelain pool deck my wife wanted. Everything we wanted to restore and beautify our pool, Kevin executed with the utmost care and skill. He was a gem to work with from start to finish over several weeks, always keeping us updated, staying on schedule, and happily tending to our every question and concern. He exemplified the philosophy of going the extra mile. We had things go awry with another tradesperson during the project such that I told the tradesperson their rude attitude was unacceptable and I canceled their work.
