Was recommended to use them as they are a Champion generator service center. Called them, set up a drop off time, dropped unit off. Forgot to ask about an approximate time to expect an estimate for repair/ return so I called a few days later to ask. Both phone numbers came up as "disconnected " so I called Champion directly to verify if Kingston was still an authorized service center and if they were still in business. Champion tried to connect multiple times over the next few days with the same results. The Tech guy recommended checking with the local Police Dept to see if they had any information. Kingston P.D. sent an officer to check, did connect with a service person who was rather snippy and said that their phone had been done for "a couple of hours ". I told him that I would be do
Update: Never called me back personally as they told Hart they would. Company basically stole the lawnmower. I will be seeing if the owner returned the one I dropped off. Never answered the phone as well which is an ongoing issue. If he has not returned it I will be contacting the police and attorney general on his LLC. Hart gave me a whole new mower but this man needs to understand he cannot treat people this way. Probably worst experience in my life for warranty repair. I could’ve fixed it in an hour but used the warranty process to ensure coverage. I’m going to add more details but for now called and dropped off in July. Was told they’d call me and not to call them. They were taken off of Harts authorized service repair during this time but never told me. No calls, attitude and story o
I'd rather eat two acres of grass like a chipmunk every week than pay for mower repairs from this outfit. Avoid. Bad actor. He will do what ever he wants to the equipment knowing if you don't pay he will sell it on you. This is currently Happening with a three thousand dollar Ryobi riot riding ron mower. I brought it in for a seat switch. Issue and got it back, not working. I brought it back in to get it resolved and was told the batteries were now no good. I've had them mower for 3 seasons, and it's been in his shop for 2. He wants 1300 to finish the warranty work he failed to fix on the first season. The mower would have to be worth 4k and it can't mow one lawn a year with this service. I could hire land scapers for this rate. He called today to say he is selling my mower.
Our Ryobi lawnmower had issues where the self propel would quit or the whole mower would just shut off. Since this is the only Ryobi repair place within an hour that we could locate, we gave them a shot. When we dropped it off, we were told not to call them because they were too busy and they'd call us. A couple weeks later, we found out they'd put in a new motor, charging us $439. This was a $500 mower brand new and we told him multiple times it wasn't under warranty. To add insult to injury, when I got it home, it still behaved the exact same way. I brought it back to him again, they "fixed" it a second time (for no additional cost) and it STILL was no better than before. They said they'd used it to mow their lawn to make sure it was working, so my guess is that whatever the actual issu
I was concerned based on reviews I have read prior to using K.E. But it was nothing but positive, I called them up , they explained everything I needed to bring and told me to come on down. I had to drive over an hour, everyone that I interacted with was super friendly. They called saying the equipment was fixed and asked if I wanted a new blade put on my Ryobi mower, I said yes for the agreed cost. The next day I drove down and picked it up. Great experience all around!
