Kirkwood Oil Inc

I am a bulk propane purchaser. I call around to suppliers yearly. For the past few years I have not gone with Kirkwood (NOCO) because of price. This year I actually wanted to go with them because their price was the best. Unfortunately when I tried to call them back to get everything signed up I was disconnected twice and put on hold multiple times, the longest being 20 min. I suppose they could be a great company to work with if you could ever make it through their customer service. I might try them again next year, maybe.

I agree, what's with the whining. I've been a customer of Kirkwood for well over 15 years, before they were bought out. They have always been professional and personable on the phone, regardless of who I talk to. I do not get automatic service, so I call any time I'm low on heating oil - meaning I'm an unplanned interruption for their delivery guys. In all cases fuel comes before I expect it, usually withing 2 days. My initial concern was the buyout by the big local guys. My worries haven't materialized. I'd recommend Kirkwood with no reservations.

I don’t know where all these negative reviews are coming from! Excellent company, excellent staff, good service, good prices, and reliable. What more could you want from a fuel company? I’ve been with these guys for over 10 years, have probably spent over $25,000 on their products (fuel and tanks) and services with good customer service with each transaction. I’ve called their on-call service, had a tank replaced, walked in for gas grill tanks, called them during normal business hours, dealt with their billing dept, built a relationship with the deliver guy - all have been positive. John Vogel is one of their best associates and will ensure you have a positive experience. I am looking forward to another 10 years of Kirkwood Propane!

Extremely happy with service and staff. I had decided to change companies and chose to go with Kirkwood's. At the time they would not be able to set new tanks for about 3 weeks. My tanks were very low and temperatures were dropping. They recommended that I contact my current provider for an emergency small delivery of propane. Current provider would only fill tanks and was going to charge an astronomical amount. When I called Kirkwood's to explain the situation I was in, they started looking for ways to help me. Jess spoke to the technician (David) who was able to squeeze me into his schedule and set the tanks. I am writing this review as after several calls with managers to repair my lawn after their driver missed my driveway not once but twice and created deep ruts some 20 to 25 feet long. After several calls, One manager made a feeble attempt at lawn repair with one bag of top soil and grass seed. I called him after the repair and he was surprised at the damage and stated he did not have enough materials for the repair. The repair needs about 15 to 20 bags.... He has never returned. It is 8 months since the driver missed my driveway, Oh well. I WILL give their propane and heating oil products along with their service team 5 stars as they are second to none.
