Kitchens By Katie

We have had an excellent experience with Kitchens by Katie. Our interactions with Kim, our sales person, John, the professional who made all the measurement for our project and Jeff, the very experienced and professional carpenter who completed the project, were extremely positive. We are very satisfied with all aspects of our project.

I want to be very fair with my review as my kitchen is now one year old. Kitchens By Katie came in to our home in December of 2019. I will start with the positive. We bought a home and when we got into the kitchen we realized it was in worse shape than we had thought. The Kitchen's by Katie representative Kim put us in her schedule on a rush. Her ideas helped us create a very functional space that required that we remove a peninsula and add an island. Kim's direction regarding the sizing of the island they installed and the suggestion of the banquette we agreed to was the best part of working with Kitchen's by Katie. From blah to Wow is all I can say. Kim was amazing, she saw what I was looking for. I had old wood cabinet doors that someone painted and they just looked dingy and drab. Now I look like I have a brand new kitchen. They are easy to clean and maintain. I only wished I did it sooner

Overall I am very pleased with the work done by Kitchens by Katie. I was referred to by a friend after I got a quote from a big box store which was pricey and unrealistic. I met with Kim and she provided helpful insights into the overall kitchen design. They communicated clearly the work they do and what they don’t do during the project. (Backsplash installed by another vendor) Additionally they were clear on what I needed to provide by the start date of the project (handles/knobs, sink, etc.) The work was completed in four days and there was little dust to clean up on my end afterwards. Overall very happy!

I would strongly not recommend Kitchens by Katie for many reasons. I’m sharing my experience so that others have a much smoother remodel than I did. And there are a few things that were misleading, as well as some other things that I should have vetted myself but didn’t. First, there are things they DON’T do: they don’t do soft close drawers, which is a shame because that really elevates the feel of a kitchen. They also don’t remove old cabinets, you are responsible for that. They will tell you that Habitat for Humanity will come get it for free but that’s not true, it’s around $250.00. The workmanship: We were originally going to reface our cabinets in order to save the countertops from being destroyed, but decided to go with new because another contractor I know (not affiliated with Kitc
