Work quality did not match what was sold *All of these issues were only discovered after digging up and checking their work. If you are not knowledgeable about how critical air sealing is, you would likely never know they didn’t do what they claimed* 1. Air sealing was minimal despite being told the entire attic would be air sealed. The company used photos of existing fireproofing as proof of work and later claimed that “covering a single electrical hole satisfies the contract.” 2. Main attic was insulated to R-60, but the side attic only reached R-48. 3. Baffles were quoted, but the ones used were the same height as the insulation, risking airflow blockage. No baffles were installed in the side attic. 3. Installing new insulation over poorly air-sealed areas now makes proper air seal

My 1972 ranch home had the original 4-5” of fiberglass insulation which I have been putting off adding more till I found the right insulation company to do the upgrade. Having a kitchen in-line exhaust fan, radon mitigation fan, and 30” whole house fan in the attic, I wanted to ensure easy access to such as well as for future inspections.
