AVOID at all costs! Ilia the customer POC estimated my FULL BATHROOM reno to take 3 weeks. That is to pull out everything to the studs and replace 3 weeks. Now my bathroom was not huge, I had ALL the materials on hand and it took SIX weeks. Illa OVER PROMISES and under delivers CONSISTENTLY. Even before work started I reached out to the owner about Illa's inability to provide basic customer service. Steve said he would be on it, not much changed. I had to reach out to the owner to point out the FLAWS on the contract the Ilia sent over for me to sign. It basically said they for ~$13K THEY WOULD supply and materials and labor to redo my bathroom. I pointed he would loose a ton of money if I signed it and it should be reviewed so that both he as the owner and I as the client would be h

This guy flies through home depot( Mt Vernon) parking lot and almost hits me, while in a marked crosswalk. Never stopped, wouldn't even make eye contact as he swerves around me at 20mph. Complete disregard for pedestrians. Absolutely wouldn't do business with someone who has such low morals. Happened on 6/27/25 2:10pm. Loaded my purchases in the truck. Drove around to confront him but driver and passenger had already entered through contractor entrance.

Had a terrible experience with Kolas as part of our HOA's paint cycle. They painted our shutters in the back the incorrect color despite communicating with them multiple times what color we wanted. Then they did a sloppy job sanding our door and there are now large ridges in the paint that look awful. Truly our house looked better before they started their work than it did when they finished. Would strongly recommend anyone thinking about hiring them to reconsider.

I had Kolas paint the interior of our half-duplex in SE DC. They did an excellent job, removing all of the switchplates, painting all of the trim, painting the inside of the closets, removing hardware from the doors to paint, painting all the ceilings - these guys did things right. They corrected defects in the first floor ceiling from a leaky sink on the second floor and painted all of the ceilings as well. They filled all nailholes and everything - the walls looked brand new by the time they were done. It was probably the highest quality repaint that had ever been done on this house and it showed. You get what you pay for, and we were very impressed with the quality, value, and attention to detail their very experienced crew had. These guys have a lot of experience and a great attention
