Kolb Electric

I recently contacted Kolb Electric to repair/replace my floodlights and scheduled a visit for an estimate. A technician came to my house, walked around the property, and informed me that nothing could be repaired because of the snow. He spent very little time assessing the issue, only writing a few things down, and left without doing any actual work. To my surprise, I was later charged $195 for this visit, especially for a visit where no repairs or meaningful assessment could be completed. I find this to be extremely unprofessional and misleading. If the snow prevented them from doing their job, they should have either rescheduled or waived the fee, given the lack of service provided. I strongly encourage anyone considering this company to clarify all charges in advance and think twice

I thought that it was rather expensive. It cost over $1,500 to install two ceiling fans in the bathrooms. It took two visits and they charge per half hour. The last time I got work like this done it was $350 and only took a few hours. The end result looks good but either it was over priced or I simply can’t afford this company.

I was assigned Mr Silva as the project manager to replace my electric panel. I agreed to his proposal but when his lead electrician arrived he wasn't familiar with the proposal I'd signed. He wasn't proceeding according to the proposal and he was unable to answer my questions. He then said he was sick and the work was completed by the 2nd electrician. He had already cut a hole in my ceiling and refused to sweep up the insulation that fell into my hallway. He said they have a vacuum that he'll use. My power was out for another 3hrs so I swept it up myself to keep it from getting tracked into my bathroom. Mr Silva, again, sent his lead electrician to accompany the Inspector. I was given a 2 day window and they show up at 8:20am Monday with no prior notice. I let them in as it's not the Inspe

My first contact with the company was with Steve Reid who gave me my initial quote. I contacted 5 companies to do a panel replacement and Kolbs prices were phenomenal compared to others. Steve was very pleasant to communicate with. The technician who came was punctual and worked efficiently, finishing quicker than expected. I am very happy with my new panel. Thanks Kolb Electric!
