Gee, I don’t know where to start. Big picture is my family and I were displaced from our home due to sewer smell. The original plumbing company I called said it would be $9k to replace all the piping because they couldn’t locate the leak. So, I myself attempted to locate the leak. We moved all our belongings out of the house and slept on ppl’s couches while actively looking. I was ready to give the house away. It had become my worst nightmare. A friend suggested I call Kona. They give free estimates they said so I called. Although, the issues was time consuming to locate they assured me that they would not throw up theirs hands and so we continued to search. Kona international did a total renovation of the master bath in my hundred year old house. So here’s the facts. 1- David gave me turn key pricing with a comprehensive in depth proposal. 2- Work was performed on time. 3- Work was over the top professional. 4- No extra work / material charges ( see item 1). 5- David and crew knew their way around and respected 100 year old construction. Summary- I got more than I expected for the quoted price.

Kona Plumbing came to my home and Jesse got my spare bathroom functional again. We talked about our dogs and it was a very easygoing enjoyable experience. When visiting their office, it is clean, and smells way better than I thought any plumbing company would! I even got to meet Taco shop cat! They really are "the pet friendly plumbers", with quick reliable service and people.... Had to call again with a new issue, this time Chris came out and walked me through the whole situation with my sink backing up he even showed me the camera as to where the issue was.

I own an apartment building on the Seawall in Galveston, Texas, and have had the property for over 30 years. At the beginning of July 2025, I called Kona Plumbing because of their positive reviews. What started as a clogged drain in a shower in a lower apartment turned into the replacement of a sewer line that was over 100 years old. They dug so deep it looked like a trench for a war zone. They used sophisticated camera equipment which revealed the cracks in the old clay pipes and invasive root damage. During the removal of the old sewer pipes in the building it was discovered that we had water leaks from the galvanized pipes and I really had no choice but to replace them with PEX which went very well. What a fabulous experience with Kona Plumbing!! David came out and was so kind and explained everything to me. Turns out all I needed was my float adjusted. He did not charge me for the quick 3 minute fix!! What great service. I will never call another plumber. Call Kona. You will not be disappointed.
