L & J Heating & Air Conditioning

CONSUMER BEWARE I had L & J Heating & Air Conditioning Inc. come to fix one of my HVAC Fujitsu Split units as it was not blowing cold air. I was advised the fee was $195 per hour. First hour was diagnosis. Julie asked if I wanted it fixed today and I replied okay. She advised parts have to be picked up in Farmingdale and that the clock was ticking. I thought she meant that we were tight on time to fix it that day but shockingly, they billed me another 3 hours for travel time to get the parts on top of the 2 hrs for diagnosing and replacing parts. I could not believe I was deceived and expected to pay the Tech’s travel time (one hour each way) and an additional hour, I am assuming for the Tech’s lunch. I advised Julie that I will not pay the extra 3 hours. I could have waited. I d

We had a problem with our central AC unit today. I called this morning and they came to fix my problem the same day. They diagnosed the problem quickly and fixed my issue. They are very honest and their prices are very fair. I would highly recommend using this company.

I was recommended to use L&J from a friend of mine who is a contractor in the area. I used L&J to install two ductless systems on my second floor. I have central throughout the house but the single unit wasn’t enough to properly cool the second floor. The owner, Lou, said best course of action was to close lines to the second floor and install ductless units. He could have tried to get more money out of me by making it a bigger job than it needed to be. Really nice, genuine guy. His wife, Julie, deals with scheduling and is such a pleasure. They did the job in 6 hours. Left the house spotless. And the units look amazing. 5 stars for Lou and L&J. Highly recommend.
