Lafayette Garage

Terrible place to have to handle anything to do with unemployment. I was sent an email confirming an appointment. When I got there I was turned away because of a mistake made on there end, so still waiting for my unemployment benefits to get started. I've got some pics of nobody doing anything. Oh ya the place is really nice and clean though 👌!

Conveniently located in downtown Boston on the edge of Chinatown right by Washington St at the downtown Boston crossing area. It’s old, tight & busy and needs to be build out. The fees are expensive starting at $9 up to 1/2 hr on the weekdays but slightly more affordable during the weekend. Find outside parking first, if possible. The parking garage is mor for convenience but it’ll cost you.

Lafayette Garage is under ground from Hyatt Regency with connections to Lafayette Center and Wndr Museum. A decent parking garage under Hyatt hotel, with Chargepoint Station on the P3 level. If staying at the Hyatt, when booking, select prepaid parking otherwise it's $50 per night and Additional garage parking fee on top from garage. Hyatt does not discount once you check-in. Parking discounts available from surrounding shops and restaurants; Legal seafood, Wndr Museum and Macy's. We used Chargepoint and although "FREE" it still cost us $35 to park for 2-1/2 hours.

Used app ParkWhiz to reserve ahead of time for parking for a show at Citizens Opera House. Seamless entry with QR code on my phone. When the show was over traffic was heavy but an attendant stood at the gates to assist with getting people out as quickly as possible. Very clean garage with visible signage for street entry/stairways...etc. Floor was clean and it looked like lines were freshly painted recently.

A decent parking garage under our hotel. I am not used to paying for parking as I don't get into the big city that often and I am shocked at how expensive it is. This parking fee is on top of a $50 destination charge from the hotel. Normally hotels give you some money off for parking in thier hotel but this hotel did not. We did however get a discount from eating at legal seafood across the street. If they can do that why can't the hotel offer anything?
