Very disappointed. Initially, because they would not return my repeated calls, regarding heat-pump they installed (and was not working), I drove 90 miles to their Palm Springs office. They eventually inspected the unit and sent me a $400 inspection bill. Later, they sent a second bill, increasing the inspection cost from $400 to $700. The total round-trip distance the tech drove from his Salton City home to Borrego Springs was 65+/- miles. Going froward, they now send me a $700 bill every few months. Not suprisingly, no one has ever called in the past 2 years. I eventually bought a unit from a different vendor. I paid full price.

BEWARE! Lake Air installed a total HVAC system just over 5 years ago. We had them out for maintenance and to check the fan. The tech said we needed a whole new system costing over $4,000. We are very part time in Palm Desert and hardly ever use the air conditioner. We got a second opinion from another air conditioning company. He said there was nothing wrong with our system and didn't understand why it should be replaced. He changed out the Freon and charged $150 and was there over 3 hours just to make sure everything was working. So, if you have Lake Air come out, get a second opinion before you trust what they say. Very disappointed and won't ever use them again.

One star only. One of the tech or sales manager Frank stopped by at our hotel in DHS and offer his services, which we said ok , we will call you if we need anything. One week after I called and ask him if they can send tech to put a Freon , because other company did estimate and they reported that everything is ok , just need a Freon. Frank said yes we can do it, I will send tech over today. Technician, that he send came check something , talk to our maintenance guy and left. Our maintenance reported to me that there tech said its a fan problem, that needs to be fixed before he can put any Freon. Couple days after I got a call from Frank again, stating that it will cost $700 to replace fan and to add Freon all together around $1,300 he is not sure how much Freon we need it. Then I told hi
