LAZ Parking - 1818 Market Garage

UPDATE..called the number left on my review, and the gentleman i spoke with said he doesn't do the PhilIy area and provided me with another number that doesn't even offer me the option to speak with someone. The 2 options i was offered was, i can search the company directory by name (i have no idea who that would even be) or option 2 was i could get transferred to HR. Customer service is non existent, so i am out of all that money. I booked online and paid $39 as we were staying at the sonesta hotel and it was close. When I got there, my bar code wouldn't scan, so I had to get a ticket and ended up paying ANOTHER $55 to park in addition to the original amount I paid online. I tried to call the customer service to try to fix it, and was on hold for over 15 minutes so I just hung up. P

It is pretty expensive to park in here if you’re going to come here without a prior reservation – I paid about $16 for 24 hours of parking here via SpotHero It seemed like it was a safe place to park my car, but 3 stars instead of 5 because it would have been helpful if it had clearer signs of where the unreserved parking started – it looked like it started at P3 since P3 had some spots that didn’t have the reserved sign above it, so I had parked my car in one of those spots It would also be nice if you could go in and out multiple times during your parking reservation, even if you don’t have a monthly parking pass Overall, it seemed like a parking garage I would consider in the future if I were in the area again

LAZ has two garages in close proximity. The entrance to the 1818 Market St garage is off of 19th street between Market and Ludlow. Google maps has you turn on Market when coming from the north...

Paid online and paid $13 each day. Car was fine when I got it. It is right by the Sonesta which saved us a lot of money because that garage is like fifty something and valet. Here you can get to your car any time. Spots weren't too small or anything. My SUV fit in there fine.

Their machines run out of paper for receipts. Plus they have no signs indicating you have 14 minutes to leave after paying. I made the mistake of taking a phone call and departed the garage 15 minutes later. I was subsequently charged a dollar per minute ($15) after already paying $46. I strongly recommend using parking facilities that provide better service.
