LAZ Parking - 294 Hudson Lot (SoHo)

We needed to drop something in our car and they tried making us pay extra for that when we specifically said that we only needed to drop our luggage in the trunk and would be back at our allotted vehicle pickup time. We told the guy that but he moved the car anyway and he tried lying to his boss that we never told him to move the car. Horrible experience

We recently parked at this location during our trip to NYC, and unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. When we first returned to retrieve some bags from our car, we found it unlocked—despite having left it in the care of the attendants. We immediately requested that they make sure the car would be locked going forward, especially after this oversight. Instead of taking the request seriously, some of the staff responded with unnecessary rudeness and attitude. We gave them the benefit of the doubt, but when we came back the next day, the car was once again left unlocked. That’s completely unacceptable and shows a lack of responsibility and basic customer service. If I could give zero stars, I would. My husband and I were referred to this garage by the Arlo SoHo Hotel for a discounted parking rate. When we arrived, we waited 10–15 minutes in the car while I repeatedly asked for someone to explain the discount and speak English, since there was no signage. Instead, they took our keys and handed us a ticket without ever confirming the rate. When we decided to leave and asked for our keys back, they refused unless we paid $20 even though we had just been waiting for service and never actually parked. I went back to explain that it wasn’t about the money, but the principle. They used Google Translate to say it was “policy.” How is it policy to charge someone who was clearly waiting for help? DO NOT— I REPEAT, DO NOT PARK AT THIS LOCATION. My wife and I waited 15–20 minutes for a staff member to assist us. Neither of the two employees spoke enough English to communicate clearly, and we couldn’t understand what they were saying. Without giving us any information, they took photos of our vehicle, grabbed our key and issued a ticket. At that point, we decided not to proceed with parking there. Despite us still sitting in the car, they issued a ticket and charged us $19. We later spoke to the manager, LEO, who claimed he would issue a refund. However, when we tried calling him back, the number he gave us was out of service. DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE. THE MANAGEMENT AND STAFF ARE SCAMMERS. I would give this place -5 STAR if it was possible.

FRAUD. They never close your car, but do take your keys, and never give them back if you don't pay a $20 fine (???). Very rude and old scam. When they started trying to defraud me, I just left the parking lot and didn't even use it. I want my money back and advise anyone to check the reviews before booking here.
